What Services We Offer For You

My team and I would love to help you and/or your child improve their reading. Here’s how we can help:

Professional Therapy

Professional Therapy helps clients make the fastest gains and offers the greatest personalization. Weekly lessons are provided by a trained Lexercise Therapist.

Basic Therapy

Basic Therapy offers the same curriculum as our other therapy service, but in video based curriculum that is less personalized, but provided at a lower cost.

Full Language Processing Evaluation

A full Language Processing Evaluation (approved by the International Dyslexia Association) can tell you if dyslexia is at the root of your or your child’s reading
struggles.

Reading Skills Inventory

A Reading Skills Inventory will assess the word level reading deficits that may be impacting your reading and spelling.

IEP, Section 504 Support, ADHD Coaching & Homeschooling Guidance

Our therapists also provide IEP, Section 504 support, ADHD coaching, and homeschooling guidance. Please reach out to discuss how we can help you meet your or your child’s needs.

Lexercise Partnership

Able Readers Literacy therapists/tutors use the Lexercise Literacy Platform to deliver reading instruction. Lexercise is one of the first Orton Gillingham Structured Literacy programs designed to be used online. They’ve been around since 2008. All of the teaching stations are based on the Science of Reading which means we know they are effective.

Because it’s online, Lexercise has integrated, interactive games that allow for daily practice between sessions, unlike many in person programs where students only practice two or three times per week. Also, parents have a dashboard where they can see practice results and communicate directly with their therapist between sessions. Therapists are able to assess students down to the specific word level and target instruction, so we get rapid results.

Please reach out if you would like to know more about Lexercise or would like to get started with one of our qualified literacy therapists.

Hear from a client:

I wanted to take a moment to praise one of your tutors, Julie Holderman. Julie tutored my son for one year and our experience with her was outstanding. She was kind, patient, fun and fully capable of helping our son with a more uncommon form of dyslexia. The lessons she did each week with my son helped him tremendously and the tower practice solidified that lesson. Julie met Ryan where his needs were, making sure to take extra time in areas of need and to move more quickly through areas of strength to give more time to the need areas.

She was always helpful and patient in answering any questions I had as far as how I could best support my son, or outside resources I could implement as well to add extra support. She also graciously spent time to offer suggestions for types of assistance I could provide him after our sessions were over to ensure he continues to succeed.

My son enjoyed her very much. He said she explained everything so he could understand it and made the lessons fun. He said “I like that she is always happy and ready to help me.” I appreciated the little touches like sending him a handwritten note and a sticker or two every week to encourage and support him. Those littles touches meant a lot.

If we need a tutor in the future I will without a doubt reach out to Julie. She is a true asset to your team and I wanted to share our experience with you.
